Dean Calvert Back in Redmond

Dean Calvert traveled back to Microsoft's main campus in Redmond, Washington to attend a conference for Microsoft's Most Valued Professionals (MVPs).

Globally there are around 3,000 MVPs however there are currently only 33 who have been awarded an MVP for Microsoft's Small Business Server (SBS). Around 1,700 MVPs attended the conference which included presentations from Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer, Group Vice President of Platforms Jim Allchin and Kevin Johnson, Co-President of Platform Products & Services.

In addition, the SBS MVPs met with the development team to discuss & provide input into the next major version of SBS due for release in 2007 with Microsoft's Windows Longhorn Server product.

Dean was one of only 2 South Australians that attended the conference.

Dean Calvert Speaking in Redmond

Managing Director, Dean Calvert, traveled to Microsoft's main campus in Redmond, Washington to speak at SMB Nation, a conference for Microsoft partners focused on small to medium business solutions, in particular Small Business Server.

Dean's presentation on growing and running a successful business was extremely well received with many attendees requesting him present at the next conference scheduled for September 2006.

Dean Calvert Presenting at TechEd 2005

Microsoft's TechEd conference is the years premier event for Microsoft to engage with the technical community, providing indepth presentations about security, infrastructure, development, knowledge worker technology, mobility and much more.

Dean Calvert will be presenting at TechEd on Small Business Server 2003 Service Pack 1 (SBS SP1). SBS SP1 is a major update for the SBS platform and should not be installed without careful planning and preparation. This is a great opportunity to find out what this service pack is, how to get it and how to deploy it successfully.

Dean is donating his time for this presentation as part of the technical community work he provides through Microsoft's MVP programme.

New Team Member

Calvert Technologies are happy to announce James Wirth as the newest member of our technical support team. James brings experience with Microsoft Small Business Server 2003, network design and implementation, security solutions and the ability to clearly explain technology in non-technical terms.

James likes motor sports and has recently survived a whisky appreciation course. Please feel free to contact James at our office at any time.

New Team Member

Calvert Technologies are happy to announce Matthew Palmer as the newest member of our technical support team. Matthew has been working with Calvert Technologies on a casual basis since September 2004, and has now joined us on a full time basis.

Matthew will be providing first level remote support, plus on-site services. Please welcome Matthew to the team.
